App settings
Your library lives on this phone. Three things keep it safe — they are not alternatives, all three are needed:
Automatic backups — the app saves a snapshot to this phone every hour, on its own. It undoes accidents and bad syncs — but it cannot help if the phone itself is lost.
Export — tap Export below to get one file with everything, and keep it somewhere else — a computer, a cloud drive. This is the copy that survives a lost or broken phone.
Your 12 words — your key. On a new phone they unlock your library and your export, and bring everything back.
Your 12 recovery words are the key to your whole library — write them down on paper and keep them somewhere safe. They can bring your data back even if you only ever use one device.
Download all your data as a .klib backup file (includes photos)
Restore from a previously exported file. On iPhone, if iOS extracted the .klib into a folder, tap Import and select manifest.json plus every file inside the blobs folder.
How do you want to set up sync?
Ring buffer of the last ~2000 events (sync, crypto, Dexie). Share with a developer when something looks wrong.
device: …
The app saves a snapshot of your library to this device every so often (at most once an hour, when you close or background the app). These live on this device only — they are a last-resort escape hatch if sync ever goes wrong. Up to 7 are kept; the oldest is dropped when a new one is saved.
No automatic backups yet — one will be saved the next time you close the app.
Wipes ALL local data on this device — projects, yarns, photos, techniques, settings, sync state. Cannot be undone. Export a backup first if you want to keep anything.
